Inappropriate?Any .. uh .. more news? I see that this site is still using RPX. Probably not the best sign
I’m undecided

The "Like this" function is already running and works fine. Could you please clarify your question?
And what about RPX, yes, the site is using RPX. What "this" site do you mean? Why do you think it isn't the best sign? -
Inappropriate?Ahh, I see it now. I was expecting it to be a "like this" onto the original article, not on the comment itself.
I'm looking for a simple thumb up/down, like/dislike, star/unstar, etc for users to simply one-click on and give some feedback without the need to log in. I'm pretty happy with the options to post anonymously, or post using any number of connections, I just want to allow an easier transition from anonymous reader to anonymous poster through anonymous one-click feedback.
Regarding RPX, I had originally thought that this support group was run using JS-kit a while back, and when it had the star feature next to the post on the original threaded list, I had thought it was the "like this" feature you were talking about. Now that I see the support foum is now a GetSatisfaction forum it makes more sense.
I’m thankful

Echo allows to post anonymous comments, and the "like this" function also works for anonymous visitors. So the existing transition from anonymous reader to anonymous poster through anonymous one-click feedback is already implemented and should be easy enough in Echo. However, if you think that some additional functionalities like "thumb up/down", "star/unstar" should be added to Echo, you can create an "Idea" topic and describe all the desired changes there. We will see whether the Idea becomes popular among the rest users, and will notify our developers to consider such feature implementation in this case.

Glad to hear this is clear enough for you now. Do not hesitate to ask any questions if they arise. -
Inappropriate?Thanks for the response.

Yes, happy with this part of it, however as far as I can tell the "like this" function is only available on comments, not on the original post. I was hoping for something quite visible on the main post that would catch the viewer's attention and allow them to one-click contribute without even having the comment block open. -
Unfortunately Echo is not used for affecting the original posts on the blog, it is intended for commenting such posts only - the functionality that you are looking for looks like a separate feature/widget. You can contact the authors of your blog and ask them for such feature, or you can also search for some existing third-party plug-ins supporting the functionality.
Please also feel free to share your solution here after you find it, it might be helpful to the others.
